Jose Mourinho has vowed that he will make Manchester United champions, insisting that he wants to improve upon his own record of winning titles.
The Red Devils have endured a barren spell after dominating England's top flight during the Sir Alex Ferguson era, with the club having not won the title since the 2012-13 campaign.
Mourinho, meanwhile, has an enviable CV, with the Portuguese having been hugely successful during his managerial career, winning top-flight titles in Portugal, Spain, Italy and England.
The former Chelsea boss was sacked by the Blues in December 2015 after a torrid start to the 2015-16 campaign, with Mourinho's side having won the league quite comfortably the previous season.
He was appointed at Old Trafford on May 2016 and although United have won just five of their 11 league matches, and sit sixth in the table, the 53-year-old is convinced he can turn things around.
He said: "I am in the club where I want to be. I was champion in four different clubs: Porto, Real Madrid, Inter and Chelsea.
"I want to be champion in every club I work, which is quite a nice record if I can do that, so I want to do that at Manchester United."
On facing Arsene Wenger in Saturday's Premier League meeting with Arsenal, Mourinho added: "That [the rivalry with Wenger] is not important really as I don't play against managers.
"It is my team that plays against the opposition and you have some records that are better than others.
"Ultimately a football match is an isolated event and has nothing to do with what happened before or what may happen. It is one match and in that moment I do not think about previous records."
United can move to within three points of the Gunners should they claim victory at Old Trafford in the hugely anticipated lunchtime kick-off.
The Red Devils, under then-manager Louis van Gaal, beat Wenger's side 3-2 in last season's fixture, with Marcus Rashford scoring twice on his Premier League debut.
