Manchester City are tracking Ajax star Kasper Dolberg ahead of a possible transfer, a club scout has confirmed.
The 19-year-old Denmark international is already drawing comparisons with Zlatan Ibrahimovic despite only bursting onto the season this season, but his scoring exploits in Eredivisie have already alerted Europe's biggest sides.
A hat-trick inside 18 first-half minutes against NEC last weekend took his tally to eight goals in 12 starts for the Dutch giants this term and now City scout Sebastian Arnesen has confirmed Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the young star.
"We are keeping a very close eye on him," Arnesen told Danish website BT. "When the time is right, we'll make a decision on whether to make an attempt to sign him.
"He has a huge potential. He is tall, strong, brave and quick. He has an excellent touch, can play with his back to goal and makes the right decisions.
"He can finish anywhere on the pitch. He is so special and, therefore, is of course on our radar.
"Looking at the markets, he's right at the top and he will know there is a great future for him in at a big club."
Dolberg is next in action when Ajax host Panathinaikos in the Europa League on Thursday.
